HOUSTON (March 13, 2013)—Police were investigating Wednesday in Houston after a shooting at an apartment complex that left two people dead and another wounded.
Police say they're still trying to figure out what exactly happened early Tuesday evening.
They’ve determined that shots rang out as two men approached a man and a woman who were returning home with their 8-month child in the backseat of their SUV.
Police say it's uncertain how many people were shooting.
The father, who was in the driver's seat of the SUV, was killed.
So was one of the men who confronted him.
The wounded victim was in a hospital Wednesday after undergoing surgery.
Police say the woman and infant escaped injury.
The names of the victims were not immediately released.
Police aren't saying if they're looking for others who may be involved.
