Shooting At Texas RV Park Leaves Couple Dead

MONTGOMERY COUNTY (April 17, 2014) Murder-suicide is suspected in a shooting late Wednesday night in an RV park on Lake Conroe left a man and his wife dead.

Montgomery County sheriff's deputies were dispatched at around 11 p.m. Wednesday to the Thousand Trails RV in response to a 911 all in which the caller reported that his father-in-law had shot his wife and was going to kill himself.

Deputies found Donald Jacobson, 69, and his wife Lucille, 65, dead in their RV.

The woman was shot repeatedly in the upper body and the man had a gunshot wound to the head, authorities said.

The Jacobsons were retired and had been traveling from park to park in their RV, authorities said.

They had been staying at the park on Lake Conroe for several weeks.

Sheriff’s office investigators are trying to determine what led up to the shooting.
