Shooting In Small Texas Town Leaves 2 Men Dead

WOLFFORTH (June 7, 2013)—Jerry Flores, 49, was charged with capital murder Friday in in the shooting deaths of two men in the small Lubbock County town of Wolfforth.

Lt. Bryan Taylor of the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office says a formal complaint will be filed Friday against Flores, who’s held in the Lubbock County Detention Center.

Flores was injured in the incident Thursday night.

He was taken in handcuffs to a hospital for treatment before he was taken to jail.

Taylor says the three men knew one another but he wasn't sure how well, but authorities didn’t provide additional details.

The names of the victims weren’t immediately released.

Wolfforth is a town of about 3,700 just southwest of Lubbock.
