Shooting In Texas Mall Parking Lot Leaves One Man Dead

TYLER (February 10, 2013)—An argument that started in a shopping mall in Tyler spilled into the parking lot and then turned violent as shots were fired, police say.

Chris Mass, 23, of Tyler died of gunshot wounds Saturday morning outside the Broadway Square Mall.

Ricky Neal, Jr., 25, of Henderson was arrested at the scene and was charged with murder.

Mass died, Martin said, after going to the parking lot with two other men who had argued with Neal inside the mall.

He said preliminary investigation showed that Mass died at the scene from two gunshot wounds to his chest and neck

The mall remained open after the shooting.
