WASHINGTON (December 15, 2012)--Staff Sgt. Nelson D. Trent, 37, of Austin, died Thursday in Kandahar, Afghanistan when enemy forces attacked his unit with a homemade bomb, the military said Saturday.
Nelson was assigned to the Texas National Guard’s 56th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 36th Infantry Division.
No other details were released.
