Some Victims Of West Explosion Remain Hospitalized

WACO (April 22, 2013)—Some of the 200 people injured in the powerful explosion Wednesday night at West Fertilizer Co. remained in hospitals Monday.

Providence Health Center, which treated a total of 87 victims, reported that all but one of the 21 patients admitted have been discharged.

Seven victims remained Monday at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.

Two were still in intensive care, but were in stable condition, the hospital said.

At last report, three patients, two of whom were in critical condition, remained at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple and two children, one of whom was in critical condition were at McLane Children’s Hospital.

Two patients remained at Parkland Hospital in Dallas.
