Storm Damages Local Water Plant, Forces City To Issue Boil Order

MARLIN (August 19, 2012)—Marlin officials issued a boil order Sunday morning because of low water pressure.

The city said a thunderstorm Saturday damaged electronics rendering Marlin’s water plant inoperable.

Repairs were underway Sunday.

Until the order is lifted, water intended for consumption, cooking or ice making should be boiled vigorously before use.
