(January 25, 2012)—The spring-like thunderstorms that rolled through Central Texas early Wednesday left some damage behind.

In Milam County, two houses and two barns were damaged along County Road 271-A near the intersection with FM 2027 southeast of Rosebud between Baileyville and Crossroad, a Cameron volunteer firefighter said.

Tree damage was also reported in the area.

The firefighter said tornadoes were seen in the area, but there was no confirmation from the National Weather Service Wednesday.

No one was in either house when the storm blew through early Wednesday, a resident said.

Residents discovered the damage at around noon.

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued early Wednesday morning for Milam County that said the storm was capable of producing winds in excess of 60 miles per hour.

The warning expired at 5 a.m.

In Brazos County, roof and garage door damage was reported at a house at the intersection of Highway 30 and FM 158.

In College Station, a veneer wall collapsed at a building at the intersection of Texas Avenue and University.

Widespread damage was reported in Washington County and Brenham where a possible tornado toppled trees and damaged cars in the downtown area.

Widespread damage was also reported in the Huntsville area.

Possible tornadoes were also reported in Somerville and in Waller County.
