HOUSTON (May 17, 2014) A 66-year substitute teacher in Houston was treated and later released from a hospital after a student attacked her when she confiscated his cellphone.
Police arrested the 16-year-old boy after the videotaped incident at Nimitz High School in the Aldine Independent School District.
Several students recorded the altercation on their cellphones Thursday and posted the video online.
The teacher’s injuries were minor.

The video shows a student towering over the teacher.
He shoved her several times, she fell and then he retrieved the phone.
Students aren’t allowed to use their phones during class.
The juvenile, whose name wasn’t released, was charged with injury to an elderly person.
