COPPERAS COVE (February 11, 2013)—Copperas Cove ISD students will have to make up two of the three days they missed after the district cancelled classes from Dec. 12 to Dec. 14 following a series of bomb threats that targeted certain campuses.

The Texas Education Agency refused to grant a waiver for all three days, the district announced Monday.

That means the district will hold classes on Feb. 18 and March 29, which were designated on the 2012-2013 calendar as bad weather make up days.

The threats before Christmas led to school evacuations and the cancellation of classes.

Nine teenagers have been charged in connection with six of the 11 threats, which started on Dec. 4 and targeted the high school, Copperas Cove Junior High School and S. C. Lee Junior High School.

No explosive devices were found.
