DUNCANVILLE (May 15, 2014) More than 150 Duncanville High School students have been suspended for violating the school’s dress code, which requires tucked-in shirts with collars, pants that don’t sag, belts and closed-toe shoes.

Students say the suspensions were handed out Wednesday after code violators were brought to the school cafeteria and then sent home.

Some students say the dress code hadn't been enforced all year.

Andre Smith, the principal of the more than 3,700-student campus about 10 miles southwest of Dallas, disagrees and says officials have high expectations for their students.

Police were summoned to the school later Wednesday after a student food fight but Duncanville city officials say they're not aware of any arrests.
