WACO (February 28, 2013)--Waco police arrested two men as they pushed their broken-down car down a street in a local neighborhood after a burglary.

Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said officers were sent at around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday to a home in the 3100 block of Mildred Avenue after a neighbor reported he saw two men breaking into a house.

As officers arrived they saw two men who fit the descriptions of the burglars pushing a 1987 Oldsmobile down the street, Swanton said.

When the officers approached the two men, one attempted to run, but was quickly captured.

The officers recovered property from the car they believe was stolen in the break-in.

Denzel Monroe Clay, 17, was ordered held on bonds totaling $12,000, charged with burglary of a habitation and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and on a juvenile detention hold without bond.

Brandon Keith Hardaway, 20, posted a $10,000 bond Thursday afternoon and was released after he was charged with burglary of a habitation.
