LUBBOCK (March 10, 2013)--Texas Tech University police were investigating Sunday after the discovery of what they described as materials needed to produce methamphetamine in a dorm room on campus.
Texas Tech spokesman Chris Cook said the setup wasn't operational and didn’t pose a threat to other students.
Campus police brought in the meth lab unit of the Texas Department of Public Safety to handle the hazardous chemicals and other materials.
Cook said the student living in the room hasn't been there for several days.
No charges have been filed.
