By: John Carroll Email

BOSQUEVILLE (January 10, 2013)-David William Sirbasku, 48, was released from the McLennan County Jail Wednesday afternoon after he posted a $10,000 bond on two separate drug charges.

Sirbasku was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance after a raid on an upscale home just outside of Waco where a 28-year-old woman was found dead in a bathtub Saturday.

The woman, whom authorities identified Wednesday as Lauren Darby, evidently suffered a drug overdose and drowned at the home at 8465 North Rock Creek Rd.

Authorities weren't sure where Darby was from, but online driver's license records show she had an Austin address.

Authorities weren't sure where Darby was from, but online driver's license records show she had an Austin address.

Online records show she had a string of mostly misdemeanor convictions in several Texas counties including McLennan where she was sentenced in March 2011 to 120 days in jail after pleading guilty to Class A misdemeanor assault.

Authorities say they were told she simply showed up at the home.

Nearly a dozen officers including Sheriff Parnell McNamara and Chief Deputy Matt Cawthon and Department of Public Safety troopers raided the home at around 9 a.m. Wednesday.

They recovered crystal methamphetamine and heroin, along with drug paraphernalia.

Sirbasku is the son of late Waco businessman Jim Sirbasku, the CEO of Profiles International, who died in February 2010, authorities confirmed Wednesday afternoon.

Sirbasku co-founded the company in 1991 after working at Success Motivation International.

He also owned Arabians Ltd., an Egyptian-Arabian horse farm adjacent to the house that authorities raided Wednesday morning.
