WACO (June 26, 2014) A boil order was in effect Thursday on the Texas State Technical College campus in Waco, but classes resumed after the school closed for the day Wednesday because of a water main break.
Water intended for consumption, cooking or ice-making should be boiled vigorously before use until the order is lifted.
Classes were underway for the day when the problem arose Wednesday, but faculty and students were informed of the problem and sent home, Executive Vice President Rob Wolaver said.
The issue affected all campus building, including housing, he said.
The break was in the main 12-inch water line from the water tower and could have been caused by a ground shift.
