HOUSTON (November 24, 2013) An investigation was underway Sunday in Houston after a teenage boy was shot to death Saturday night in an apartment complex in the southwest part of the city.
Officers were dispatched to the apartment at around 8 p.m. Saturday and inside found the boy dead from a gunshot wound, Houston Police Department homicide division officer R. Olive said.
Police believe the shooting was accidental.
They say it appears the 16-year-old and another teenager were playing with a pistol when it discharged.
The victim was struck in the chest.
His identity has not yet been released.
