Teenage Shooting Victim Taken To Local Hospital

HARKER HEIGHTS (August 23, 2013)—A teenage boy who suffered what Harker Heights police think was a self-inflicted gunshot wound was taken to Scott & White Hospital early Friday.

The teenager’s injuries were life threatening, police said.

Officers responded at around 3:30 a.m. to a report of a possibly suicidal male with a firearm in the area of Frontier Trail and Morgan Street, police said.

They found the teenager with the gunshot wound.

The teen’s name and further details weren’t released Friday.
