Teenager Arrested After Shot Fired At Texas Firefighter

KYLE (April 14, 2014) Jason Montalvo, 18, was in the Hays County Jail Monday charged with assault on a public servant after at least one shot was fired at firefighters who responded to a shed fire in Kyle.

After dousing the flames, firefighters heard at least one shot and heard a bullet hit a wall, the City of Kyle said in a press release Monday.

Officers determined the shot or shots were fired from a nearby home where they found a man asleep in his bed with a rifle.

Montalvo was ordered held in lieu of $10,000 bond on the assault charge and was also held on an outstanding warrant charging possession of marijuana, bond on which was set at $4,000.
