LORENA (August 2, 2014) An 18-year-old Bellmead girl escaped injury when a train slammed into her car, which was high-centered on the tracks at a crossing in Lorena.
he teenager got out of the vehicleafter her car ended up stuck on the tracks at around 7 a.m. Saturday at an abandoned crossing near South Front Street and Hatch Road, Lorena Police Chief Tom Vickson said.
The train was traveling at 26 miles per hour when it hit the car, he said.
