HOUSTON (July 6, 2014) A grand jury will review the case after a barbershop owner in Houston shot and killed one of his customers during a heated argument when the man refused to leave, Houston police spokeswoman Jodi Silva said.
The shooting happened at around noon Saturday as the customer and the owner of the business argued, she said.
The reason for the argument isn’t known, she said.
The customer refused to leave the shop and the owner felt threatened and feared for his life, so he opened fire, she said.
After the shooting, the shop owner called 911 and waited for the police to arrive.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The names of the shop owner and the victim weren’t immediately released.
