BURNET (November 22, 2013) A 12-year-old Texas boy has been sentenced to 13 years in custody for setting a mobile home fire that killed his little brother and injured his grandmother, the Burnet County Attorney's Office said.
The boy, whose name has not been released because he's a minor, pleaded guilty to capital murder on Nov. 8.
He was originally charged with arson in the fire that killed his 8-year-old brother.
The boy must serve the sentence in a Texas juvenile facility.
He'll be eligible for parole in 2020.
A hearing will be held at that time to determine his future custody status.
