WHITE SETTLEMENT (February 25, 2014) A 4-year-old White Settlement boy died after an oven that was stored in his family's backyard fell on him.
A ruling on the cause of Christian Rincon’s death was pending Tuesday, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office said.
White Settlement police responded on Feb. 15 to a report of a missing child.
Lt. J.P. Bevering says the boy's mother went outside but couldn't find him.
Police found Christian beneath the disconnected oven.
Authorities believe the boy managed to open the door and the oven fell on him.
The boy was taken to a Fort Worth hospital, where he died that night.
Bevering says the death appears to have been accidental.
