Rusty Garrett here with the weekend outlook: Saturday will be the milder of the two days. Sun and clouds will be the rule with early weekend highs in the mid 80s. Back to the low to mid 90s on Sunday!
ARLINGTON (November 15, 2012)--A Texas boy who was abandoned at a fire station as an infant had a wish for his 10th birthday.
He wanted to meet the firefighter who saved him.
He got that chance Thursday, meeting the firefighter, riding on a fire truck and touring the station.
Arlington firefighter Wesley Keck said he he's excited about seeing the boy for the first time since finding a baby carrier outside the station on a cold morning in November 2002.
The state's Baby Moses law allows a parent to leave an unharmed infant up to 60 days old at a fire station or hospital with no questions asked.
All states have similar laws, but Texas was the first to create one, signing it into law in 1999.
It took effect in 2001.
