Texas Brothers Charged In $120,000 Battery Theft

SAN ANTONIO (January 16, 2013)—Brothers Justin Harris, 26 and Christopher Harris, 28, were jailed Wednesday, charged in the theft of about $120,000 worth of vehicle batteries from a warehouse.

The charges stem from an investigation into the theft of more than 700 vehicle batteries on Dec. 1 from Exide Technologies in San Antonio.

Justin Harris faces one theft count with bond set at $20,000.

Christopher Harris faces two counts and his bond is $35,000.

The two men were arrested Tuesday night at a San Antonio apartment complex.

Police say a tip helped lead to the brothers and the stolen property.
