BAYTOWN (January 26, 2014) Several people suffered minor injuries and one required hospital treatment during a Pamplona-style bull running event in Baytown.
The Great Bull Run is similar to the annual running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, where people run in front of a herd of bulls let loose in the streets.
Organizers say they toned down the U.S. version by creating escape routes for runners and blunting the animal's horn tips.
Hugo Soto, 21, was treated for head injuries at a local hospital after he was trampled and was released a few hours later.
Organizers say 3,500 people participated in Saturday's bull run.
The organizers held bull runs last year in Virginia and Georgia.
