SAN ANGELO (February 4, 2013)—Tom Green County Attorney Chris Taylor was free on a personal recognizance bond Monday after his arrest over the weekend on suspicion of domestic violence.
Taylor, who was first was elected county attorney in 2000, was detained by police Saturday night in San Angelo, booked into the county jail and then later released on bond.
Taylor, 45, told the San Angelo Standard-Times the arrest was "a big misunderstanding" and that he and his wife were going to work through it.
As county attorney, he primarily handles misdemeanor prosecutions, juvenile offenses and legal advice to county officials.
