HOUSTON (July 17, 2014) A Houston man and his wife were shot to death early Thursday in what police think was a murder-suicide, but the couple’s three children were unharmed.
The couple’s 7-year-old daughter ran to tell a neighbor early Thursday after hearing the gunfire, police said.
Officers found the bodies of the man and woman in an upstairs bedroom.
The older girl and her siblings, ages 6 and 1, were in the home at the time of the shooting, but were taken in by the neighbor who called for help.
Investigators believe the couple argued and that Phillip Deckard, 24, shot his wife, Candace Williams, 26, and then killed himself.
Police did not immediately say what may have led to the deadly dispute.
