Texas Fugitives Arrested After High-Speed Chase Through 2 States

GERING, Neb. (February 4, 2013)—A man and a woman wanted on Texas warrants were in custody Monday after a high-speed chase that wound from western Nebraska into Wyoming and back again.

Joshua Carver, 26, and Alexandria Pryor, 21 were held Monday in Scotts Bluff County, Neb., after they were arrested Saturday afternoon in the Nebraska Panhandle's Sioux County.

The chase began when a Mitchell officer tried to stop a car bearing Texas plates.

The chase reached speeds upward of 100 miles per hour was it wound through two Nebraska counties, into eastern Wyoming and back to Nebraska.

Authorities say the two abandoned the car when it developed engine trouble, but were soon captured.

A loaded handgun, a military-style rifle, ammunition and several knives were found in the car.
