SAN ANTONIO (December 27, 2013) Kayla Blackmon, 17, was sweeping the dining room floor after a rush of customers last week at Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in San Antonio when she found an envelope on the floor with $1,600 inside.
The teenager turned the envelope over to restaurant managers who then checked a security video to try to determine who dropped it.
A short time later, a man walked in who "looked really nervous."
The cash was his, and it turned out he intended to use the money for a Christmas vacation.
He expressed his gratitude by giving Blackmon $100 and the owner of the restaurant gave her a $100 gift card, as well.
She also was named employee of the month.
