Texas Girl, 5, Dies In Violent Domestic Dispute Early Tuesday

SAN ANGELO (September 2, 2014) A 5-year-old girl who was assaulted early Tuesday in a violent domestic dispute in San Angelo died at a hospital.

Police arrested one man in connection with the incident.

Isidro Miguel DeLacruz, Jr., 23, of San Angelo, was initially charged with murder in the death, but the charge was later upgraded to capital murder.

Officers discovered the injured child, Naiya Villegas, and two other female victims, Villegas' mother Tanya Bermea, 33, and Bermea's mother, Jesusita, 62.

All three were hospitalized and Villegas later died.

Mother and grandmother had non-life threatening injuries.

Delacruz was Tanya Bermea's ex-boyfriend and forced his way into the home through a bathroom window.

San Angelo police initially received a report of a domestic disturbance, and then minutes later were called about an assault.

Investigators did not immediately say who called 911.

Police didn't immediately provide further details Tuesday.
