DALLAS (June 26, 2014) A 12-year-old girl who was of four children injured in a fall from atop a moving car after a trip to a neighborhood swimming pool died after she was removed from life support, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office said.
Octavia Watkins died Wednesday of blunt force trauma to the head, the office said.
The girl and three other children were wearing wet clothes from a day at a pool on June 17 in Crowley when they rode on the vehicle's trunk and hood.
The other children were treated later released from a hospital.
The driver of the vehicle, Kisha Young, 39, has been charged with drunken driving and other offenses.
The girl’s mother was a passenger in the car, authorities said.
