Sonar To Be Used In Search For Body Of Texas High School Player

COPPELL (October 16, 2012)--Sonar will be used in the search for the body of a Coppell High School football player who disappeared while jumping from cliffs into a lake while on an outing with teammates at Possum Kingdom Lake.

An official with the Brazos River Authority said the search resumed Tuesday for Jacob Logan, 17, who was a wide receiver for Coppell, one of the state's top-ranked teams.

He disappeared Sunday while swimming with friends at the lake about 80 miles west of Fort Worth.

Authority spokeswoman Judi Pierce says poor visibility hampered Monday's search efforts.

The senior scored a touchdown Friday as Coppell beat Hebron 29-3.

Coppell is ranked No. 4 in the latest Associated Press Class 5A football poll.
