HOUSTON (July 17, 2014) Police were investigating Thursday in Houston after an 11-month-old boy was found in a bathtub filled with water.
Investigators were waiting for autopsy results Thursday.
The toddler died earlier this week and the Harris County Institute of Forensics Sciences is working to verify the boy's identity.
Authorities say an adult family friend was babysitting the boy and his three sisters while the children's parents were at the hospital.
The baby fell into the bathtub that was being filled with water, but police say the bathroom door was closed beforehand.
First responders were called, and the boy was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say no charges have been filed.
