HOUSTON (August 29, 2012)--A disgruntled worker is accused of driving a bulldozer into a Houston auction house and causing $1.5 million in damage in the process.
Lynn Benson, 52, of Houston operates the bulldozer as part of his regular duties at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers.
He was jailed Wednesday, charged with criminal mischief.
His bond was set at $50,000.
Nobody was hurt in the incident Monday night, which occurred after the business closed for the day, but the building was heavily damaged.
A water main was broken and office equipment was destroyed.
Operations vice president Frank Wilson said company officials want to help Benson, who was arrested at the scene.
