Texas Man Charged In Crash That Killed 5 People

EL PASO (July 23, 2012)--A two-vehicle crash in far West Texas left five people dead and a 23-year-old man jailed on intoxication manslaughter charges.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office said Albert Coronado was held Monday in lieu of $1.5 million bond.

He was arrested after the deadly crash Sunday afternoon.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Angelica Becerra said Coronado is accused of running a stop sign.

His pickup truck hit a car in which two adults and three children were riding.

All five died.

Their names weren’t immediately released.
