GARLAND (February 18, 2013)—Tommy James White, Jr., 20, was jailed Monday, charged with capital murder in the death of his 5-month-old daughter.
The infant, Spencer Claire White, was with her father Friday morning when other family members left to buy her a new pacifier.
When relatives returned, the girl wasn’t breathing, police said.
She was taken to a hospital where she died Friday night.
Police believe White caused his daughter's injuries, but did not say how she was hurt.
Bond was set at $1 million for White, who was held Monday in the Dallas County Jail charged with capital murder of a person under 6 years of age.
