Texas Man Charged With Killing Girlfriend’s Mother

SAN ANTONIO (November 5, 2012)—Garry Armstrong, 24, was in the Bexar County Jail Monday, charged with murder in the death of his girlfriend's mother who was killed as she tried to protect her 18-year-old daughter.

Armstrong’s bond was set at $250,000.

He’s accused of forcing his way into the family's home early Sunday and then shooting Niki Hill as she tried to keep him from taking her daughter.

Armstrong then forced his girlfriend to accompany him to his apartment where he fell asleep, allowing the girl to escape and call for help, police said.

Officers then arrested Armstrong.

Hill's father, Ricky Tucker, says Armstrong had a violent history with his granddaughter and was not welcome at the family's home.
