Texas Man Dies In Fall At State Park In New Mexico

DEMING, N.M. (July 9, 2014) Scott Allen Coleman, 50, of Houston, died after falling about 75 feet from a mountain in Rockhound State Park southeast of Deming, N.M., authorities said.

Family members reported Coleman missing Monday after he failed to return after setting off to take a walk, officials said.

Relatives and friends determined located Coleman in the park and Luna County sheriff’s deputies found that he was badly injured from the fall.

He stopped breathing and could not be revived as rescuers carried him down the mountain.

He was in Deming to attend his brother's funeral.
