ROSENBERG (January 28, 2013)--A Houston man who was killed in an industrial explosion as he used a cutting torch to work on some barrels was identified Monday as Feliciano Ramirez Puerta, 49.
Puerta was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday in the accident in the Rosenberg area, authorities said.
An employee of SCR Construction told authorities he was working in a building when an explosion shook parts of the structure.
The man stopped to investigate and found Puerta on the ground next to a metal barrel.
Officials said the barrels were marked as containing a cleanser.
