SUGAR LAND (May 7, 2014) Karim Kamdar, 46, shot his wife to death and then shot and wounded his two children before taking his own life Monday at the family’s home near Sugar Land, authorities said Wednesday.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday that a preliminary investigation indicates Kamdar was responsible for the shootings.
Deputies who responded to the home just after 6 a.m. Monday found the couple's 15-year-old daughter on the front lawn with a gunshot wound.
She placed the 911 call despite her injury.
The bodies of Kamdar and his wife, Nikhat Kamdar, 37, were found inside the home.
Their 11-year-old son also was inside with multiple gunshot wounds.
The children underwent surgery and were recovering Wednesday at a hospital.
