MCALLEN (November 20, 2012)—Reynaldo Vega, 45, if Mission, who pleaded guilty in a child pornography investigation, must not only serve more than 17 years in prison, but also must pay the victim $1.3 million.
Vega was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court.
In April he pleaded guilty to receiving child pornography via the Internet.
Investigators say Vega viewed and shared the child porn images.
He must pay restitution to the one known victim of the scheme going back to August 2011 when Vega's home was raided.
