AMARILLO (October 29, 2013) Jerrod Lamonte Marshall, 40, of Amarillo, has been sentenced to more than 12 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to taking a teenager across state lines for prostitution.
Marshall was sentenced Monday to 151 months in federal prison without the possibility of parole and ordered to pay $2,900 in restitution to his 15-year-old victim.
A news release from the U.S. attorney for the Western District of Missouri said Marshall pleaded guilty in February to transporting a minor to engage in prostitution.
Officials arrested the girl for prostitution in January 2012 in Joplin, Mo.
She told them she previously worked as a prostitute for Marshall in Tulsa, Okla.
