Texas Man Sentenced In Child Sex Trafficking Case

MIDLAND (September 26, 2012)—Brian Phea of Amarillo, who had a 14-year-old girl bused from Houston and then forced her into prostitution, has been sentenced to 26 years in prison.

A jury earlier convicted Phea of sex trafficking of children and promotion of a business involving prostitution.

Co-defendant Trevin Rounds was convicted of possession of child pornography and coercion of a minor.

He faces as much as 10 years in prison.

Investigators say Phea bought a bus ticket in March for the girl to visit him in Amarillo.

He then drove her to Odessa, used the Internet to advertise sex for sale and forced her to have intercourse with an unknown man, authorities said.

Rounds and the girl were found during a traffic stop in Eden while driving back to Houston.
