FRISCO (March 19, 2013)--A Texas man who police say threatened his fiancée with a handgun and then set his home on fire during a standoff with authorities was in custody Tuesday.
The altercation began Monday evening in Frisco after the woman called police to report that William Chad Coleman, 38, chased her from the home and pointed the weapon at her.
Coleman was seen inside the house carrying several firearms when officers arrived, police said, and in 911 calls placed during the standoff threatened to storm out of the house "blazing fire."
Early Tuesday morning a fire started in the garage and several explosions were heard.
Coleman eventually came out of the burning home and surrendered.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
He’s charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
His bond was set at $150,000.
