Texas Man, Wife, Die When Motorcycle Hits Car

GARLAND (January 3, 2014) Ronald Hawley, 54, and his wife Deborah, 60, died when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a car whose driver pulled into their path in Garland, police said.

Hawley and his wife died Thursday at a hospital from injuries they suffered when they were thrown from the motorcycle on Wednesday.

Neither was wearing a helmet, police said.

They were struck by a Mercury Sable whose driver was pulling out of a grocery store parking lot.

The driver's view was obscured by another vehicle that was pulling into the parking lot, police said.

The name of the Sable’s driver wasn’t released.
