SAN ANTONIO (June 20, 2014) San Antonio police shot and killed a man in a wheelchair who refused to drop his gun after another man was shot during a fight Thursday night, San Antonio police Chief William McManus said.
The officers ordered the 45-year-old man to put down his revolver several times, but he refused, McManus said.
Two officers who felt threatened opened fire on the man, who was taken to a hospital where he later died.
The man shot during the fight suffered injuries police described as non-life-threatening.
The two officers were placed on administrative duty pending a review.
