Texas Outlet Mall Evacuated Because Of Bomb Scare

HOUSTON (March 17, 2014) A bomb scare led to the evacuation of the Houston Premium Outlets mall on U.S. 290 in northwestern Harris County.

An abandoned bag was the source of the scare Sunday.

A bomb-sniffing dog was brought in, but “false hit” on the bag, which led to the evacuation.

About two hours later a bomb squad determined the bag contained nothing dangerous, the scene was deemed safe and shoppers were allowed to return to their parked cars.
