Rusty Garrett here with the weekend outlook: Saturday, rain stays with us, but should taper off by Sunday, the drier of the two days.
RICHMOND (June 24, 2014) A Richmond police officer dragged a woman off the tracks just moments before a train roared by in a rescue that was recorded by his dashboard camera.
Officer Ramon Morales was on patrol early Sunday when someone flagged him down and told him the woman was sitting on the nearby train tracks.
The video shows the railroad crossing arms lowering as Morales runs to the tracks, grabs the woman and drags her to safety just before the train rolls by.
The rescued woman was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
Master Sgt. Lowell Neinast on Monday called Morales a hero who saved the woman without regard for his own life.
