Texas Search Team Finds Woman’s Body In Wooded Area

HOUSTON (September 4, 2012)—Authorities Tuesday were trying to determine the identity of a woman whose body was found Monday night in a wooded area of Houston.

Volunteers with Texas EquuSearch found the body after relatives of Norma Jean Scott, 48, asked the group to help look for Scott, who's been missing since Thursday.

Frank Black with Texas Equusearch says volunteers are not sure if the body they found is the missing woman’s.

Officer J.C. Padilla says police were contacted after the body was located in an overgrown vacant lot.
