GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (January 29, 2013)--Snowmobiler Caleb Moore, 25, of Krum remained in critical condition Tuesday after he was seriously injured in a dramatic crash at the Winter X Games in Aspen.
A publicist for the family reissued a statement Tuesday thanking fans, friends and family for their support and asked for continued prayers.
Moore was performing a flip Thursday when his snowmobile clipped the top of a jump.
He went over the handlebars and the snowmobile rolled over him.
He was able to walk off the course with help and was taken to a hospital with a concussion.
While there, he developed bleeding around his heart.
He was flown to Grand Junction, Colo. for surgery Friday.
His family said Sunday that Moore then had a secondary complication involving his brain, but didn't provide details.
Moore's younger brother Colten also crashed in the competition.
He suffered a separated pelvis.
The brothers are former freestyle ATV riders who made a transition from sand to snow.
